### Lesson Plan: Forms of Prayer #### Grade Level: Primary 2 #### Subject: Christian Religious Studies #### Duration: 60 minutes #### Lesson Topic: Forms of Prayer #### Objectives: 1. **Knowledge**: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify three main forms of prayer: Adoration, Confession, and Thanksgiving. 2. **Skills**: Students will practice forming simple prayers using each of the three types. 3. **Attitudes**: Students will appreciate the importance of prayer in their lives. #### Materials Needed: - Bible - Poster board/whiteboard - Markers - Pictures or flashcards representing different forms of prayer - Prayer journals or notebooks #### Procedure: 1. **Introduction (10 minutes)** - Begin with a short, simple prayer to set the tone. - Ask students if they know what prayer is and allow a few to share their ideas. - Explain that prayer is talking and listening to God. - Show them the three types of prayer they will learn about today: Adoration, Confession, and Thanksgiving. 2. **Teaching/Input (20 minutes)** - **Adoration**: - Explain that adoration means to praise and worship God for who He is. - Read Psalm 95:6 as an example of adoration. - Show a picture of people worshiping and praising God. - Write a simple adoration prayer on the board: "God, You are so great and mighty!" - **Confession**: - Explain that confession means telling God we're sorry for our sins and asking for forgiveness. - Read 1 John 1:9 as an example of confession. - Show a picture of someone praying and asking for forgiveness. - Write a simple confession prayer on the board: "God, I am sorry for not listening to my parents.
